The World on your Plate this May: Korean, Sudanese, Albanian, Greek and Middle Eastern dishes served right here in Splott

Who wants to eat amazing food from around the world right here in Splott? I sure do!

And thanks to Lia’s Kitchen, Splottlanders will have the chance to do exactly that this Saturday evening right here in the hart of Splott with an exxciting event at Oasis Centre on Splott Road.

After a wood burning March, two amazing Wasteless Suppers and an April working hard with Oasis Cardiff to prepare food offerings for Festival of Voice supported by Refugee Food Stories project, Lia from Lia’s Kitchen has entered May with excitement and a lot of news!

She is fired up and ready to bring good food to the people of Splott on Saturday the 12th of May and invites you to join her on a fantastic food journey right here on your doorstep!

Saturday 12 May – Oasis Cardiff Trailer Trial

Supported by Refugee Food Stories at the Wales Millennium Centre and in preparation for an Oasis Cardiff food stall at Festival of Voice from 7-17 June, this weekend the Oasis team and Lia are running a trial event at the Oasis Cardiff car park.

From 5.30pm to 9.30pm you will be able to meet the team whose recipes you will be tasting, buy their food (limited stock/first come first serve) and talk to the team about their Korean, Sudanese, Albanian, Greek and Middle Eastern dishes. This is just a preview for the Festival of Voice stall but you can come talk to the gals and guys about how we are all finding our voice through food and telling our story by sharing our dishes.

Don’t miss out (you’re tastebuds won’t thank you if you do!) – head to the Oasis Centre on Splott road this Saturday, 12th May between 5.30-9.30pm to sample delights from afar.
