As part of Cardiff Council’s Carriageway Resurfacing Programme, Splott Road will be resurfaced this winter.
The resurfacing will start on Saturday the 28th January 2017 and work will last for 5 days, unless delayed because of bad weather or technical issues.
The resurfacing will start by the old STAR Centre and finish at the junction with Walker Road. City Operations has assured Splott Councillor Ed Stubbs that every effort will be made to keep any noise or disruption to a minimum.
Councillor Stubbs said:
“This is great news for residents and businesses in Splott and something we have been working on since last summer.”
“Residents should be aware that with any major project there will be some inconvenience. Please get in touch with me if you want to know anymore.”

Information signs will be in place along the street and Cardiff Council is encouraging residents to keep an eye on the signs for updates and notification of any changes to the scope of work or schedule.
Car owners who usually park on that segment of Splott Road will have to move their vehicles for a few days as the street will have to be clear for the resurfacing work to take place. Any vehicles parked on the street when the work starts will be ‘relocated’ by the Council’s contractor. For further information on this please ring 029 2087 2087.
