On Saturday 21st January, Green Squirrel will host a Community Wassail at Railway Gardens.
The organisation has been gifted some fruit trees which they will be planting into large raised beds, with the hope that over the years they will provide plenty of fruit to share.
Between 1pm and 2pm this Saturday, residents of Splott, Adamsdown and Tremorfa are invited to join Apple Tree Wassail; an ancient winter tradition in which people thank the trees and wish them good health and good harvest for the coming year.
At the Wassail, visitors will be led by storyteller Cath Little to sing some traditional Wassail songs, listen to a magical story of the old Apple Tree Man and share some mulled apple juice together before wishing good health and happiness for the apple trees and for themselves.

Railway Gardens is situated at the top of Adeline Street, just off Railway Street in Splott.
