Talking Trash with Keep Wales Tidy

Members of Keep Wales Tidy will be in Splott tomorrow to hear people’s thoughts on litter and waste and how we can tackle the problems together.

From 10am to 2pm on Friday the 22nd March, members of Keep Wales Tidy Cardiff will be at Splott Community Volunteers’ facility within the old STAR Leisure Centre on Splott Road to speak to residents about their litter concerns and frustrations and to collect ideas on how to improve.

The session will be informal, with free tea, coffee, cake and a buffet lunch.

Gareth Davies, Keep Wales Tidy Project Officer for Cardiff, encouraged people to come along:

“We just want people to come forward, give us their opinion, give us their ideas…what annoys them, what frustrates them, have they got any ideas? Is there anything we can help with, maybe some behaviour change trials, funky signage, funky bins etc?”

Gareth went on to say:

“We can’t make any promises, but if we don’t know, we can’t help.”

So, if you want to flag a fly-tipping hotspot, make a case for a new bin or talk about an idea you have to help reduce litter issues in the local area, pop along to Splott Community Volunteers tomorrow between 10am and 2pm. Access is through the gates opposite A1 Tyres on Railway Street.
