About Inksplott

Hello!  We run Inksplott and we’re delighted that you’ve visited our site.

“Hia, I’m Lynne Thomas and I set up Inksplott in March 2016 to capture and report all the wonderful things that are going on in Splott, the land of the speedbump.  In October 2015, I started to work on a community project down in Grangetown and saw their resident-run newsletter and website and I thought, ‘this is brilliant, I’ll volunteer for the Splott version!’.  After two hours of fruitless Googling, I started to investigate how to set up my own.  Inksplott was born!  After Inksplott came Keep Splott Tidy, a resident-led initiative which was set up to help make our local area even better.  Over to Louise!”

“Hia, I’m Louise Clarke and I support Inkplott by going out there and talking to people about what they’re doing and getting people interested in what we’re doing and I also feed into the web development and social media. I also take loads of photos of community events and am secretary of Keep Splott Tidy.  Over to Peter!”

“Hia, I’m Peter Durrant, Treasurer of Keep Splott Tidy.  I live in Splott and have always been passionate about the area, so I was delighted when a residents’ group started up.  I want to get more of people of an ethnic demographic involved in our litter picks.”

So hia, this is the team!  We profile local businesses, interview local characters, cover local news and let people know what’s happening right on their doorstep.

If you have a story to tell, are planning an event, or you run a business and would like to be featured, get in touch via Twitter @inksplott or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/inksplott and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.  If you’re tweeting anything relevant to Splott, please remember to hashtag #splott and we’ll re-tweet you.

There’s lots of great stuff happening in Splott and we aim to shout about it!

Lynne and the rest of the team.
