On the 25th March, people around the world will come together to switch off the lights for an hour in recognition of the world’s energy and climate challenges.
Earth Hour is about more than just switching off the lights; it’s about educating people on the environmental challenges facing the world and encouraging people to live more sustainably.
Keep Splott Tidy is contributing to Earth Hour by conducting a litter pick in Splott on Saturday 25th March to pick up rubbish and educate people on the importance of recycling and thinking about small changes that people can make to help the planet. For example; don’t drop your fag but on the floor – get a portable ashtray pouch, try and buy local, batch cook where possible, recycle your takeaway cartons – you know the drill!
Millions of people around the world show they care about the future of our planet. Keep Splott Tidy is asking you to give an hour to Earth – connect with nature and your community #EarthHourWales. Come and join in!
Meet across from the Fleurs on Walker Road at 10am on the 25th March. Equipment is provided.
Earth Hour takes place on the 25th of March from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.
