Get your green groove on at the Edible Adamsdown Garden Party on Saturday August 6th

Did you know that Adamsdown has its very own secret garden?  It does you know.  I’ve been there, once upon a many moon ago, when I dabbled in singing in the community choir run out of the same address.  So secret is the garden that it’s easy to miss it, and miss out, but fear not; all that can be remedied by popping along to one of this summer’s most edible events.

Green City

On Saturday the 6th of August from 2pm to 6pm, Green City is holding the Edible Adamsdown Garden Party. The Edible Adamsdown crew will be opening up the community garden for a special afternoon of lovely local food, live music, garden mocktails and lovely company. There will be tasty homemade food, a veggie and meat BBQ, refreshing drinks made with herbs and flowers from the garden and some live music under their willow archway (I so want a willowy archway.  I wonder if you can buy one at the event?).

You can register for a ticket to be paid on the door as a £5 donation or it’ll cost you 2 time credits if you have them. This includes all food, drink and entertainment and children under 12 FREE.  And get this – you have to ring a buzzer to be let into the garden.  SO SECRET!  Like a New York Speakeasy.  Love it.

So if you’re feeling adventurous an up for an afternoon of Indiana Jones style exploration, or you simply fancy chilling out with live music, food, drink and friends for only a fiver, head over to Adamsdown Community Garden at 10 G Moira Terrace, Cardiff, CF24 0EJ + Google Map

Don’t forget to ring that buzzer now!
