Update: the launch of the Cardiff-wide campaign has been rearranged for the 19th September at 1.30
Did you join Keep Splott Tidy on Sunday the 21st August and help collect over 30 bags of rubbish and recycling? If so, you have been invited by Cardiff Council to the launch of a city-wide campaign to help keep the streets and parks of Cardiff clean and tidy.
The launch will be at the Hayes on Monday the 19th of September at 1.30pm (under the big screen) and Cardiff Council would love for us to go along so that they can thank us in person for volunteering (and probably get a piccie or two). I will nip over in my much break and it would be fantastic to have as many of the group there as possible. Please let me know if you can make it.
In other exciting news – you may soon see a familiar face or two around town as billboards featuring a photo of Keep Splott Tidy members will be popping up across the city! It’s all good publicity for our initiative and will hopefully encourage more people to get involved.
The next litter pick is on Saturday the 24th of September at 10am, meeting at the bottom of the Black Bridge on Cumnock Place (end of Sanquhar Street). Please come along (and bring a friend!) so that we can continue to Keep Splott Tidy.
