This week, Splott Nisa on Carlisle Street launched a local loyalty scheme offering a range of benefits designed to encourage people to shop local instead of visiting larger, out of town stores.
Zapper is basically a payment service on customers’ mobiles linked to a debit card that allows Nisa to offer ongoing loyalty rewards, discount coupons and exclusive deals not available in store direct.
On first registration everyone gets £3 off whatever they spend, so that’s £3 for free!
Ongoing, spend is accrued every time customers pay using the Zapper service instead of their card, and when customers have spent £40 they will receive a voucher for £2 off the next shop (handy if you’re bulk-buying wine!).
Above that, customers will also receive exclusive discount vouchers and deals only available to those customers registered on the Zapper database.

To take part in the scheme, download the ‘Zapper’ app then scan the QR code at the till once your shopping has been registered to upload the total and make the payment with your phone.
As a massive supporter of ‘use it or lose it’, Inksplott is delighted to see local businesses using innovative ways of encouraging and supporting local shopping and wishes Splott Nisa all the best with their new venture. See you soon for that bulk wine!
