News has emerged that plans to build flats on the site of the ex-Riva Bingo Hall at the top of Splott Road have been withdrawn by Vale Planning.
The building in question, built in 1913 and formerly a cinema and bingo hall, was devastated by fire in 2015 and has remained cordoned off since.
