This Friday sees the launch of a special exhibition outside Cardiff City Hall that should delight aviation enthusiasts all over!

Images show the second day of the Royal Air Force 100 Aircraft Tour at the lawns of the Cardiff City Hall building.
The tour starts with its first leg of the 6 UK city tour during the weekend 17th May to 20th May 2018 at Cardiff City Hall. It will consist of 5 full size aircraft:- Snipe, Wessex, Typhoon, Harrier, Spitfire, a large interactive STEM (Science, technology, engineering and mathematics) exhibition, and various Royal Air Force Personnel from various trades and backgrounds.
For the 100th anniversary of the RAF a tour is going round the UK which starts in Cardiff. There will be five RAF aircraft from the last 100 years on display and loads of aviation-based science fun activities for kids.
On 1 April 2018, the Royal Air Force launched RAF100, a national campaign to mark its 100th year.
The centenary celebration features events, activities and other initiatives nationwide from April to the end of September 2018.
A number of events have already taken place in Wales. One of the biggest is coming to Cardiff on 18-20 May 2018 – the RAF100 National Aircraft Tour in Cardiff which provides a unique opportunity to interact with the RAF.

- Spitfire – WW2 fighter
- Wessex – Rescue helicopter

In addition, current trainee RAF pilots will re-enact the life of RAF pilots during the First World War and the Battle of Britain in period dress.
