A local organisation is attempting a Guinness World Record and needs your help!
Tremorfa Community Pantry, a group of like-minded individuals whose aim is to save food from landfill and deliver it to people in our community in order to battle food insecurity.
They run lots of activities to help empower people within the community and strengthen community bonds.
They work hard to share their passions and common goal of
serving the community with other local community groups. It is important for the organisation to operate their services, so it is sustainable and free for all.
The Pantry encourages the children in our community to vocalise, participate and be proactive in all their activities. Pantry member, Jenny Ashton said:
“We have now applied to Guiness World Records and are planning to hold the Tombola at the beginning of December. We need over 6000 prizes to be in with a shot of being record holders.”
Here is how you can help…. Prizes, Prizes, Prizes!
Tremorfa Pantry is seeking any new or unopened items, small or big, vouchers or cash, edible or non-edible, books, toys, plants, collectables, alcohol, toiletries etc.
Jenny said:
“Help us reach our goal, and we will ensure to recognise your efforts on our social media. All funds raised will go towards keeping our pantry running free of charge. Thank you for your time and efforts to help us help our community.”
Donations can be dropped to Tremorfa Pantry on a Wednesday between 10am and 1pm or you can contact Jenny Ashton 07816029439 if you want more information and ways to deliver the donations.
