STAR Communitites First is looking for a Trainee Development Worker to assist with the smooth running of their Community Hub and support the team to deliver activities and projects in Splott and in the wider community.
The post holder will have excellent IT skills and be responsible for monitoring the community use laptops and basic maintenance of them as well as supporting the community to use them.
This exciting opportunity will see the post holder working directly with the community, undertaking varied duties and gaining many new skills whilst being part of a friendly team.
The Trainee Development Worker post is open to anyone aged 16 to 24 years old and is based within the community of Splott, Tremorfa, Adamsdown and Roath.

35 hours per week
£8.25 per hour

Duties will include:
Provide reception cover for our community office: acting as first point of contact for people accessing the centre and dealing with enquiries.
Supporting the CF Assistant with management of bookings, volunteers and reporting issues and incidents.
Oversee the administration of volunteer paperwork – timesheets, timecredits etc.
Signposting the public to CF activities and other organisations where appropriate.
Monitoring the use of community laptops and reporting any issues to the IT department.
Support community members with general IT queries.
Supporting the CF team to deliver CF activities / projects.
