Going to Cardiff Dogs Home is now just a click away following the launch of their new website.
The website www.cardiffdogshome.co.uk offers information and advice on everything from microchipping to what to do if you lose (or find) a dog.
All the dogs currently available to rehome can also be viewed on the site. Currently that includes the adorable Archie with his distinctive black eye patch and Lolo, a German Shepheard cross who has been at the home since last autumn.
Cabinet Member for Environment, Cllr Michael Michael said:
“Residents increasingly expect to be able to access our services digitally and this new website will make it easier for anyone searching for the perfect canine companion to start that journey online.”
“We’re meant to be a nation of animal lovers so it’s tragic to hear how some of the dogs brought to Cardiff Dogs Home have been treated – anything we can do to help find the dogs who end up in our care a proper home has to be a good thing.”
Other services available via the new website include:
- Reporting a lost or found dog.
- Information on what to do if you find a dog.
- Information on free microchipping services.
- Information on having a dog neutered.
- Photos of recently found dogs.
If you’d like to get more involved in the work that Cardiff Dogs Home do, there is also information about volunteering opportunities on the website, including the chance to get to know some of the dogs personally as a Dog Walking volunteer.
