Our new polytunnel is going to be a huge help for our Growing Group to propagate plants and grow lots of gorgeous tomatoes and chillies, while our new shelter is going to be amazing for wet weather seed sowing, music making, den building, market stalls and a million other things.

We’d like to express our grateful thanks to @keepwalestidy and @cardiffkwt for supplying and building the polytunnel, and @admiral_insurance_ukfor their generous support to build the shelter. Big shout out to the team from @hideout_house_company for their flexibility and hard work with the build.

Saturday 18th January – Meet and Mend Social – 12pm – 2pm

Have you got a pile of mending that needs tackling? Or just need some small repairs or alterations to be able to be worn or have a new lease of life?

Meet and Mend is a clothes mending social at Railway Gardens led by Splott resident Sara.

She says:

“Let’s come together for a couple of hours where we all bring our little things that need doing such as some hems fixing, buttons replacing, anything that gives our clothes a new lease of life!

There will be a sewing machine and some other basic items available but please bring along any other bits and bobs you have that you might need.

This isn’t a workshop about learning how to fix things, it’s more about allocating time to get together and get our mending done… but I’m sure there will be plenty of knowledge shared too!”

No need to book, just come along! The Cafe will be open for food and drink, plus it’s Gardening Club between 10:30am – 1:30pm so if you fancy a bit of gardening then come along earlier.
