Calling all Splott, Tremorfa & Pengam Green residents – Groing Street Talk would love to see you at their next workshop ‘Growing Your Street!’ on Sunday December 1st.
If you’d like your street to be greener, cleaner and friendlier then this workshop is well….right up your street! Pop along and find out how you can make things happen right outside your own front door! They’ll be showing you inspiring ideas about how you can green your front gardens and street frontages. There’ll be time to exchange ideas with your neighbours and come up with a vision for transforming your street.
You can help plan the 2020 Growing Street Talk programme by choosing activities and events that will be most useful for making changes to your street. It could be anything from a workshop on making raised beds to help with organising a street party.

You’ll have the chance to take part in a raffle* to win a garden makeover! There will be two prizes – one for a front garden and one for a street frontage.
Winners will be announced on the day.
Plus everyone will go home with a free daffodil bulb to welcome the spring in 2020.

* the raffle is only open to people who have attended a workshop and live in the Splott, Pengam Green and Tremorfa ward.
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children don’t need to be booked in but organisers need to know numbers, so please email with how many children you are taking. Tickets are limited to two adults per household with ticket prices based on the ‘pay what you can afford’ principle – £2, £5 or £10. All proceeds go to the community chest to support the project. Growing Street Talk is an exciting new project for people living in the Splott & Grangetown wards. The project delivers practical gardening workshops bringing residents together to improve their front gardens & make the streets greener, cleaner & friendlier. Growing Street Talk is run by UpFront Gardens CIC, supported by our community partners Keep Splott Tidy and Pentre Gardening Club and the National Lottery Community Fund.
